- lovin' my job =)
- first general rehearsal today... it was actually quite good! i mean, yeah, a lot of things still need work, but overall, it wasn't nearly as stressful as i thought it would be. and we actually ended on time! hopefully the rest of the rehearsals only get better...
- big saturday comin' up... Kiwanis, No Borders, and Aida all in one day... PraiseTEAM day! let's do it...

what a long day it was for the PTers... started with 10am contemp class with Cort. died, of course. little break during tap, got food. came back and rehearsed SrC piece for a little bit... did some last minute clean-up for Showcase. arrived at Outbreak, sang O Canada with Dani and Winnie... and i think we rocked it! then it was time for Showcase to perform... and i think we rocked that, too! and the HC jr trio rocked as well! so proud of my hobbits! (sorry, i know this is the worst paragraph every). after what seemed like a million years, it was time for the HCsrs, who were the very last entry of the night, to do their Love Story piece. but before that, i had a little mushy moment and a good prayer time with them... it's their last competition for the year. and what a great year it's been! 8 competitions, placed first in 7 of them. anyway, no more typing... here are some videos:

one... two... three?!
woke up super early to go to an early service at The Grove... awesome story by a former devout Islamic man who has become a Christian... a pastor, no less. very touching testimony! afterwards, woke Flojo up to pick up my boots... got home and the dancers started filing in within the first 30mins or so. practiced new blocking with CharF, chilled, ate, got sexified, and made our way to Surrey Arts... super nervous, but we totally rocked our performance! and what the adjudicator said about us was just so uplifting... for one thing, she said we were the best group she's seen all weekend and that we were a total package! spacing, choreography, style changes... all the hard work definitely paid off! first place, woohoo!!! too bad we weren't allowed to take a video... hopefully they'll put one up on their site soon.

| Down For The Count... Again
as a lot of you probably know, i have been coughing for the last 3 weeks... i know i should've rested, but there was just too much to be done. well, lucky me... now it's gotten worse. i hate missing rehearsals, but that's what i'm having to do today... and possibly for the next few days. who knows. less then 2 months 'til the show, and there are 2 huge gigs for Showcase a week from now (Outbreak and Surrey Dance Festival). i am NOT going to miss out on those... i hope i don't have to.
so now that i'm sick, all i've been doing was watch tv or go on the computer and chat with the few people that happen to be online. i'm vegetating. i hate this. i hope i'm well enough by monday... ________________________________________________________________________________________ // in other news... - got a new computer with Windows Vista on it. it's pretty cool, i guess. so many games! and it's so much faster.
- check it, Melissa R from Search For The Next Doll dancing hiphop... so good!
- i'm digging En Vogue again. really wish they were still doin' their thing. but, what people like now are rock bands and solo artists... groups have become a thing of the past. what a travesty. but who cares, En Vogue rocks!
